Thank you man for good review! I love how this library sound, I`m professional clarinettist and I know how musical instruments should sound. Now I gues it's one of the best woodwinds libraries. Not worse than hollywood woodwinds and BBC Symphony Orchestra Woodwinds. I like CS choice of acoustics and the ability to get a "clean" sound to fine-tune the reverb to your liking.

I just got my hands on Instant Cello, at 50% off right now. It's their light version of their Bohemian Cello. It's instantly playable and very affordable even for me on a budget. I'm not the guy spending 500K on sample libraries the first year. :P Anyway, I really recommend it to everyone who want the great Cello for a great price.

Well. It would be really great to hear a more in-depth video on why you don't do composition as your full-time job. What is the reality of a composer that makes you not want to dive in head on? I'm pretty sure everyone of your followers would really like to know also, because many of us probably envision a "dream" that they'd be able to do just that, composition full-time. I mean, you touch that subject at the end, but just throwing it out there. Many are most likely also surprised that you don't even really want to do it. I fully get the point of not doing what you love as your job, but there's got to be more to that as you have probably done at least some paid gigs. A down-to-earth view on that would be very much appreciated.

Great video. Have you had any experience with the Century series from 8Dio, Chris? I own CSW, and love it! However, for my strings, brass and harp I am very interested in the Century series for its extended list of techniques and controlled sound. Moreover, it's way more affordable than the Cinematic Studio series and will be also rolling out on the new Sound Paint sampler that is a new generation sampler compared to Kontakt.

Crafting brass crescendos and decrescendos with the modwheel is more often than not prone to a myriad of issues. Sampled and tempo synced swells is the viable alternative. This one sounds and looks pretty good! Thanks for the giveaway! Cheers

I would definitely try to use this alongside 8dio arcs from Artisan Brass and Century Brass. Just for starters, to compare flavors. Next step would be to compose something brassy with nice swells to test this with my new Symphonic Destruction :D

Thank you for putting this together. For the Nucleus oboe, if you wanted to do a trill, is that a hidden feature, or is that an articulation that you’d have to turn to another library for? I’ve written for real orchestra before, and am looking to get into orchestral libraries, but don’t want to skimp on things like articulations.

Great review Chris! Lovely sounding library. I was blown away by the legato patches when the premier video came out yesterday afternoon. Many of these softer sounds were reminiscent of some of John Williams classic scores. I would use this library for my musical theater writing and for an animation soundtrack I am currently working on. Such great tones right out of the box!

Lovely review, thank you! I would love this library, it sounds very contemporary and unique. I would use it as a teaching tool when working with students who are learning how to compose, produce and finish their own music. I would also be interested in having it in the arsenal for contemporary music composition for film or audiobook dramas. I was thinking to buy the string swells already.

Prerecorded brass swells are exactly what I'm looking for to complement my BBC Core. The versatility and quality of Brass Swells make it a perfect fit for my template. I really appreciate how realistic it sounds. I'll consider purchasing it anyway, but I'll wait for the end of the giveaway with hope! :)

I would love to use this for an upcoming score I'm doing. It's going to be an abstract, experimental film with a lot of woodwinds and synth. So a brass/sound designy library would be a great addition to build on the ethereal sound.

Nice video! IMO, phasing effect on woodwinds' legato(between legato samples and sustain samples especially at legato timing when I use a single WW) is always problem. I think single note's sound is better on BWW, but long legato phrase is better on CSW. Needless to say, both are good!

This library is great because there it does a fill a gap in the toolbox of mine. It does a specific thing well and that is dynamics, it does have hybrid unique sounds they created that can be off use. Would use it for dynamic swells in film scores.

The narrower CC curves at the end reassure me as with BBC SO Core I often find myself having to exaggerate the width of these curves to hear a noticable difference, but then often I don't want to go all out until the big climax of the song, but other libraries like this seems to offer the dynamic range I'd love to have

Honestly I don’t know what I’d use this library for. I like the designed patches more than the singles so probably as a layer in a pad

Yeah this is a great library and great video presentation of it! I could see myself using this to set a mood, particularly using low brass to set a darker mood like in the score of Hulk vs. Wolverine at the beginning.
